Government Spends Zero on Social Media Influencers
Union minister L Murugan informed the Lok Sabha that no government funds have been spent on social media influencers, despite the engagement of eight influencer marketing agencies by MyGov. The platform focuses on citizen engagement and information dissemination without incurring any influencer-related expenses.

In response to queries in the Lok Sabha, Union minister L Murugan clarified that the government has not spent any funds on engaging social media influencers. Instead, the focus remains on empowering citizens through the MyGov platform.
Murugan disclosed that eight influencer marketing agencies were contracted through a transparent process fostered by MyGov. However, as of now, none have been paid.
MyGov, a key platform for participatory governance, continues its mission of connecting with stakeholders and disseminating information about government programs both directly and via agencies.
