A shocking incident unfolded in Indore's Kati Ghati region when a speeding truck collided with a group of Kanwar pilgrims on Wednesday night, tragically killing one and injuring six others, according to local police authorities.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Umakant Chaudhary, detailed that the accident occurred about 30 km from the Indore district headquarters as the pilgrims were en route to Ujjain. The truck driver reportedly lost control, resulting in the fatal crash.

Adarsh Rathore, a 25-year-old pilgrim, died at the scene, confirmed Chaudhary. The injured have been taken to Government Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital, with one person in critical condition in the ICU. Authorities are searching for the driver, who abandoned the truck and fled the scene.
