In a significant breakthrough, Faridabad police have apprehended four individuals linked to a shooting and extortion case, officials announced on Wednesday. The suspects are accused of firing at a vehicle and attempting to extort Rs 5 lakh from a local resident.

Law enforcement officials have identified the accused as Devendra alias Kalu, Monu, Bunty, and Uday, all natives of Tirkha Colony, Ballabgarh. They were taken into custody and have been remanded for four days of police interrogation.

The complaint, filed by Mayank of Arya Nagar, describes a harrowing encounter on July 27 when a shot was fired at his car, followed by a WhatsApp demand for money from Devendra. While investigating, the police seized a car used by the suspects and are verifying their criminal backgrounds.
