Grand Farewell: Sanjay Arora's Ceremonial Send-off

A farewell ceremonial parade marked the send-off for outgoing Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora at the Parade Ground, new Police Lines on Thursday morning.
Arora, an IPS officer from the 1988 batch of the Tamil Nadu cadre, has held significant positions across the Tamil Nadu police, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and the Central Armed Police Forces. He assumed the role of Delhi Commissioner on August 1, 2022, taking over from Rakesh Asthana.
In June, the Delhi government's home department announced Arora's scheduled retirement for July 31, 2025. The traditional farewell includes a formal parade and a speech from the commissioner, culminating in the ceremonial handing over of charge.
