An Uttar Pradesh court has handed down a conviction to an individual named Tribhuvan for the kidnapping and rape of a minor, according to key documents pertaining to her education.
The Assistant District Government Counsel, Sanjay Singh, reported that Additional District and Sessions Judge Devendra Nath Singh sentenced Tribhuvan to 10 years of imprisonment alongside a fine of Rs 16,000 for the offenses.
The ruling brings to light age determination discrepancies that surfaced during the case. Despite medical assessments suggesting the victim's radiological age was around 19, educational documents verified her age as 15 at the incident's time, influencing the court's decision.
