Arvind Kejriwal, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener, has strongly criticized previous administrations for allegedly ruining Punjab. Speaking on Thursday, he commended the current government's efforts under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to prioritize citizens' welfare, notably through tough actions against drug smugglers and spearheading an education revolution.
Kejriwal made these remarks during a gathering held on the martyrdom day of freedom fighter Udham Singh. Along with Mann, he paid tribute at the Shaheed Udham Singh memorial. He attributed the drug crisis in Punjab to former governments and accused them of widespread corruption and fiscal mismanagement.
Praising the AAP government for its progress in Punjab, Kejriwal described improvements in education, infrastructure, and agricultural resources as pivotal. He affirmed that canal water is now better distributed to farmers, eight hours of daytime electricity supply are assured, and 20,000 km of rural roads are set for construction starting in September.
