The Karnataka government has reversed the suspension of IPS officer Vikash Kumar Vikash, who, with four others, faced action following a disastrous stampede outside Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4.

On Monday, the suspension of two IPS officers, B Dayananda and Shekhar H Tekkannavar, along with two Karnataka State Police Service officers, was also reversed ahead of disciplinary proceedings.

Filling critical roles, Dayananda now heads the Prisons and Correctional Services, and Tekkannavar leads Police Intelligence, after an event that left 11 dead and 56 injured.
