In a revealing investigation, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district uncovered a fabricated narrative of police torture involving a government teacher and three others. The accused allegedly used social media to disseminate a misleading photograph depicting false injuries.
The image, which went viral, showed Mohammad Arif with apparent blood stains, raising claims of police brutality and severe injuries at the Khawas police post. An inquiry led by Budhal Superintendent of Police Wajahat Hussain debunked these allegations, revealing the use of a coloring agent to simulate blood.
Following these findings, an FIR was filed at the Budhal police station against the four individuals. Legal proceedings are ongoing to hold those responsible accountable for their actions in spreading disinformation.
