The Election Commission of India has asserted that there are no classifications for suspicious voters in election-related laws, according to Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. This statement was given to address concerns raised regarding the voting process in the last Lok Sabha elections.

In a written response to the Rajya Sabha, Meghwal highlighted that the EC reported no possibility of manipulating Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). The EC has reaffirmed the machines' integrity, following extensive testing in numerous elections and scrutiny from both the public and legal systems.

Meghwal noted that at least 42 petitions challenging the use of EVMs have been dismissed by various Indian courts, including the Hon'ble Supreme Court, underscoring the technological robustness and administrative precautions associated with EVMs, proving them to be tamper-proof and credible.
