Notorious Criminal Arrested for Accidental Firing in Mumbai

A man with a criminal history has been taken into custody following an accidental shooting in Dharavi, Mumbai. The incident resulted in a woman sustaining hand injuries after a shot was fired while she was shopping on 90 Feet Road last Sunday night.
Authorities have identified the suspect as Azhar Sheikh, also known as Ajju. Although the police assert that Sheikh did not intend to harm the victim, he has been apprehended based on CCTV evidence and faces charges of attempted murder along with other serious offenses under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Arms Act.
The Shahunagar police station has remanded Sheikh in custody for four days as the investigation continues, shedding light on the security concerns over habitual offenders in the area.
