A tragic incident unfolded in Tantigaon as a 48-year-old man, Saudan Singh, allegedly shot his wife, Rajkumari, before taking his own life. The couple had been experiencing domestic disputes for days, according to the police.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Suresh Chandra Rawat reported that the couple had not been communicating well. An attempt to resolve their differences turned violent when Saudan Singh shot Rajkumari in the stomach with a country-made pistol.
The incident escalated, leading Saudan Singh to take his own life shortly afterward. While Saudan Singh died on his way to the hospital, Rajkumari is currently undergoing treatment.
