E-Rickshaw Tragedy Unfolds in Deoria: Two Arrested After Police Standoff

Two men have been taken into custody in connection with a hit-and-run incident that left an e-rickshaw driver dead and four others injured in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, officials reported.
Circle Officer Deepak Shukla detailed that the event took place in Baruwadih village, where a pickup truck allegedly targeted an e-rickshaw driver with fatal intent.
As police made arrests and surveyed the crime scene, the suspects tried to flee, resulting in an exchange of gunfire that left both wounded. They are now receiving medical care as legal proceedings progress.
