Major Crackdown on Narcotics Smuggling in Mangaluru
In a significant operation, Mangaluru City Crime Branch arrested three individuals for allegedly smuggling narcotics from Andhra Pradesh. Acting on a tip-off, officials intercepted two cars in Moodbidri, seizing contraband worth Rs 46.2 lakh. Investigations continue to unravel the narcotics network.

The Mangaluru City Crime Branch has struck a major blow against narcotics smuggling, arresting three individuals allegedly transporting contraband from Andhra Pradesh.
Based on intelligence, CCB officials halted two cars at Mathadakere in Kantavar Cross, located in Moodbidri taluk, Dakshina Kannada district. The arrested men, residents of Kasaragod district in Kerala, were identified as Masood M K, Mohammed Ashiq, and Subair.
The operation led to the seizure of vehicles and mobile phones estimated to be worth Rs 46.2 lakh. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, as investigations aim to dismantle the interstate narcotics network.
