Arunachal Pradesh Congress chief Bosiram Siram met with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi to discuss critical issues affecting the state, as reported on Friday.
The meeting focused on a memorandum submitted by Siram seeking amendments to Article 371(H) of the Constitution. The amendment aims to grant Arunachal Pradesh constitutional safeguards and legislative powers similar to those of Nagaland and Mizoram.
Siram also emphasized the importance of reevaluating the Siang Upper Multipurpose Project (SUMP) due to potential social and environmental threats and advocated for reinstating the Old Pension Scheme for government employees.
