Pesticide Panic: Averted Tragedy at Karnataka School

Authorities in Karnataka have registered a case after discovering that a water tank at a Shivamogga district government primary school had been allegedly contaminated with pesticides. Thankfully, due to the vigilance of the school staff, none of the students consumed the harmful water, thus avoiding a potential catastrophe.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah responded to the grave incident by urging the police to launch a comprehensive investigation, identify those responsible, and apply stern legal action against them. Officers have found that among the school's two tanks, one was suspected to be tampered with a significant quantity of pesticides, with a bottle discovered nearby.

The Chief Minister, taking to social media platform 'X', condemned the act as akin to a 'terrorist attack' intended to harm school children. He praised the kitchen staff for their quick actions and stressed the need for strong societal reflection on the moral degradation that such acts signify.
