The Uttar Pradesh government has swiftly suspended Jay Kishan Singh, the private secretary to Minister Asim Arun, after allegations of molestation surfaced from a female worker. The suspension was enacted under the Government Servant (Discipline and Appeal) Rules of 1999, according to sources.
The complaint, originating from a female outsourced employee stationed at Bhagidari Bhawan, accuses Singh of misconduct that gravely violated her dignity. Consequently, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at the Gomti Nagar police station, and Singh has been detained for interrogation.
Reacting to the incident, Minister Arun emphasized the administration's strict stance against sexual harassment through a statement on social media, urging immediate police action. As investigations continue, Singh will receive a subsistence allowance per standard government protocol.
