The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended another pivotal suspect involved in last year's chilling massacre of three women and three children in Manipur's Jiribam, as confirmed by officials.
Lalrosang Hmar, alias Rosang, from Moinathol village, along with Dilkhosh Grant from Cachar, Assam, was arrested in Aizawl, Mizoram, on Thursday, according to a Friday statement by the NIA.
This capture closely follows the arrest of Thanglienlal Hmar by a combined team from NIA and Assam Police, also in Aizawl. Like Thanglienlal, Lalrosang played a crucial role in the atrocity, the NIA disclosed. Seizing a mobile phone and SIM card, the agency continues to probe the case where the victims, abducted and murdered in Jiribam's Borebekra area on November 11 last year, were disposed of in the Barak River.
