A tragic boating accident occurred in the Ganga river in Jharkhand's Sahibganj district, where a vessel capsized on Saturday, tragically claiming one life and leaving three others missing.
The incident took place near the Maharajpur Gadaidiara area under the Ganga Nadi Police Station's jurisdiction, as confirmed by local officials.
Sahibganj Deputy Commissioner Hemant Sati reported that rescuers have successfully saved 28 people, while the search for the missing continues with a robust deployment of 28 divers and requests for National Disaster Response Force reinforcements.
