The Madhya Pradesh police department's recent anti-drug campaign has secured a coveted place in the World Book of Records. State Director General of Police, Kailash Makwana, has been invited to the British Parliament for a felicitation ceremony, acknowledging the campaign's success, according to officials.

The initiative, titled 'Nashe Se Doori, Hai Zaroori', was conducted between July 15 and 30, spanning 1,175 police stations across 57 districts. It actively engaged around 23 lakh individuals and reached over 6.35 crore people via social media, officials stated. The campaign was celebrated for its expansive reach and remarkable public participation.

On Friday, Santosh Shukla, CEO and president of the World Book of Records, presented a certificate to DGP Makwana and Additional Director General (Narcotics) K P Venkateshwara Rao. DGP Makwana, upon accepting the invitation to the UK Parliament, expressed his commitment to keeping youth drug-free, emphasizing that the campaign's success was a collective effort.
