Delhi police arrested three shop owners in Sultanpuri for allegedly manufacturing and selling counterfeit branded jeans. The arrested individuals were identified as Sharif, Javed, and Salman.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Sachin Sharma stated that the action was initiated after a complaint from a Levi Strauss & Co. representative was filed on July 30. The complaint reported that counterfeit jeans with well-known brand logos were sold in the Kirari Suleman Nagar area.
Raids at multiple premises led to the seizure of 684 fake jeans, 350 Levi's labels, and sewing equipment. A case under the Trade Marks Act was initiated, while investigations continue to track the origin and distribution of these counterfeit products.
