In a significant development, two individuals have been apprehended by Bengaluru's Central Crime Branch following a complaint lodged by ex-MP and actor Ramya. Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh disclosed this information during a press briefing on Saturday.

Commissioner Singh revealed that the ongoing investigation has identified 11 additional individuals for their involvement in posting abusive content online against Ramya and that these suspects will be detained shortly. The offensive communication began after Ramya shared a news story on July 24 about the Renukaswamy murder case, in which she advocated for the victim's family.

Ramya expressed gratitude on 'X', commending Karnataka's Home Minister and the CCB for their prompt response. Highlighting the gravity of online abuse, she emphasized that legal measures would be enforced to safeguard women's dignity in the city.
