Swift Action Taken in Online Abuse Case Against Former MP Ramya
Former Mandya MP and actor Ramya, also known as Divya Spandana, filed a complaint leading to the arrest of two individuals involved in a campaign of online abuse against her. Bengaluru police identified 11 more suspects in the case. The attacks followed Ramya's demand for justice in the Renukaswamy murder case.

In a significant development, two individuals have been apprehended by Bengaluru's Central Crime Branch following a complaint lodged by ex-MP and actor Ramya. Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh disclosed this information during a press briefing on Saturday.
Commissioner Singh revealed that the ongoing investigation has identified 11 additional individuals for their involvement in posting abusive content online against Ramya and that these suspects will be detained shortly. The offensive communication began after Ramya shared a news story on July 24 about the Renukaswamy murder case, in which she advocated for the victim's family.
Ramya expressed gratitude on 'X', commending Karnataka's Home Minister and the CCB for their prompt response. Highlighting the gravity of online abuse, she emphasized that legal measures would be enforced to safeguard women's dignity in the city.
