In a significant operation, Delhi police have arrested two foreign nationals in the Govindpuri area on suspicion of drug trafficking. The arrests came after authorities launched a raid following a covert tip-off.
The suspects, identified as Bernadin from Ivory Coast and Ezekile from Nigeria, were found in possession of drugs valued at Rs 10 lakh, alongside various paraphernalia. Both individuals were residing in India without valid documentation and had no prior criminal records, according to police sources.
Law enforcement personnel confiscated 36.64 grams of cocaine and 61.16 grams of MDMA. A case was filed under relevant sections of the NDPS Act and the Foreigners Act. Authorities are now digging deeper to trace the source of the drugs and any potential connections to international drug rings.
