The West Bengal government has initiated an Rs 8,000-crore programme to tackle local issues ahead of the 2026 elections through camps set up across the state.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced the launch of 'Amader Para, Amader Samadhan,' highlighting its goal to enhance grassroots service delivery by engaging citizens directly.
The initiative encompasses over 27,000 camps targeting infrastructure needs, underscoring the state's commitment to participatory governance and local empowerment. Monitoring the project is a task force headed by Chief Secretary Manoj Pant.
