Former BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur, recently acquitted in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, claims she was tortured by investigators who pressured her to implicate high-profile figures, including PM Narendra Modi. Former BJP Parliamentarian Pragya Singh Thakur, freshly acquitted in the contentious 2008 Malegaon bombing case, has made serious allegations against investigative officers, accusing them of torturing her to name influential personalities, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Thakur vented her claims outside the sessions court after fulfilling certain formalities, alleging severe abuse by the officers during her detainment. She detailed that despite the pressure, she refrained from naming anyone falsely, including high-ranking officials like RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
The special NIA court, however, in its thorough 1036-page ruling, along with a previous Supreme Court order, dismissed Thakur's allegations due to a lack of supporting evidence. Thakur remains adamant that her narrative is truthful, though the court's judgment emphasized discrepancies in her claims.
