A distressing incident unfolded in Arunachal Pradesh's West Siang district when a 28-year-old man was swept away by strong currents in the Yomgo River, according to police reports on Saturday. The man, identified as Limin Ingo from Paya village, disappeared while fishing.
The incident took place at approximately 2 pm on Friday. Ingo was fishing with friends when the accident occurred. Despite immediate rescue attempts by his friends, the powerful currents proved too strong, preventing a successful rescue.
Authorities have enlisted the help of the National and State Disaster Response Forces to locate Ingo. Locals from Paya village are actively assisting in the search operation, determined to find their fellow villager.
