A body was discovered on the Indian side of the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir, identified as a Pakistani national. Initially unidentified, the body was buried by the local Auqaf Committee.

Later communication from Pakistan confirmed the individual was a Pakistani citizen. The District Magistrate of Kupwara consequently ordered the exhumation of the body for identification and subsequent repatriation.

The body was transported to Teetwal and handed over to Pakistani authorities with respect and under strict security measures, in accordance with international protocols.
