Delhi Enacts Aerial Ban: Key Security Measure for Independence Day

In a decisive move to bolster security ahead of Independence Day, Delhi Police Commissioner SBK Singh issued a directive banning all sub-conventional aerial platforms across the city from August 2 to August 16.

The order prohibits flying drones, paragliders, and other aerial devices, citing potential threats to public safety and critical installations due to their possible misuse by anti-social elements.

This security measure, Singh's first order since his appointment, aims to avert any airborne attacks during the sensitive period leading up to the 78th Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort.
