Jagan Mohan Reddy Slams Chandrababu Naidu Over Farmer Policies

Jagan Mohan Reddy, chief of the YSR Congress Party, has publicly accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of betraying the state's farmers. Reddy criticized Naidu for dismantling the Rythu Bharosa scheme, a program that provided vital investment support to the agricultural community, and for not fulfilling pre-election promises.

The YSRCP leader alleged that Naidu's election campaign assurances have resulted in "zero implementation," characterizing this as a "repeated betrayal." Reddy emphasized that under his previous administration, the YSRCP exceeded its manifesto by delivering Rs 13,500 annually to each farmer despite a depleted treasury.

In contrast, Reddy claimed Naidu's government has only provided Rs 5,000 over two years under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, failing to meet the promised Rs 20,000. Rhetoric turned sharp as Reddy accused the current leadership of pushing farmers into private debts, weakening agricultural support institutions, and neglecting the welfare of the rural community.
