Major Drug Bust in Mizoram: Police Seize Record Rs 350 Crore Worth of Meth and Heroin
In Mizoram, state police seized crystal meth and heroin amounting to Rs 350 crore, arresting one individual. The operation, conducted near Aizawl on August 1, uncovered drugs in a truck transporting Mithun. The arrested driver, B Lalthazuala, faces charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

In a substantial operation against drug trafficking, Mizoram's police force uncovered a massive drug haul valued at approximately Rs 350 crore. This significant seizure includes crystal meth and heroin, leading to the arrest of one individual.
Acting on crucial intelligence, a collaborative effort by the Criminal Investigation Department Special Branch and the Special Narcotic police station in Aizawl led to the operation near the state capital on August 1. The team targeted a pickup truck suspected of transporting illegal substances.
The team successfully intercepted the vehicle between Zemabawk and Seling areas. A detailed search revealed 20.304 kg of crystal meth and 1.652 kg of heroin concealed within the truck. The driver, B Lalthazuala, has been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. An investigation is ongoing.
