Ukrainian Drone Strikes Ignite Tensions As Fires Rage in Russia

A Ukrainian drone assault ignited fires at two oil tanks in Sochi, Russia, which local officials later reported were extinguished, deploying over 120 firefighters to the scene.

The Russian defense ministry announced its air defense systems destroyed 93 Ukrainian drones overnight, including one over the Krasnodar region and 60 over the Black Sea. It did not disclose the total number of drones launched by Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Rosaviatsia briefly suspended flights at Sochi airport, which later resumed. This move follows frequent Ukrainian strikes on Russian infrastructure, deemed vital to Moscow's war strategy, with Kyiv remaining silent on the incident.
