In a dramatic turn of events near Panvel, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists have been accused of vandalising a dance bar, prompting a police investigation. The incident, captured in a viral video, occurred late Saturday night and involved extensive property damage.
The attack took place after MNS chief Raj Thackeray vocally criticized the existence of dance bars in Raigad, the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, during a rally for the Peasants and Workers Party. The activists reportedly stormed the Night Riders Bar, smashing furniture and liquor bottles.
Following the incident, the police have booked MNS office-bearer Yogesh Chile and 15 others under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). An ongoing investigation is expected to bring more clarity to the circumstances surrounding the chaos.
