In a significant bust, five individuals were arrested in Latur district for allegedly plotting a major dacoity, according to law enforcement officials. Carrying sharp weapons and housebreaking tools valued at R 7.71 lakh, these suspects were intercepted near Shivli Mod.

The arrests were made following a tip-off received by police, who intercepted a goods vehicle on the Ausa-Tuljapur road. The individuals were identified as Beed residents: Rihan Mustafa Shaikh, Anwarkhan Jalalkhan Pathan, Hafiz Mumtajoddin Shaikh, Azad Sadek Mohammad Yasin Mohammad, and Farukh Nabi Shaikh.

As investigation continues, officials have emphasized that those arrested are known history-sheeters. However, three individuals involved in the scheme managed to evade arrest, taking advantage of the cover of darkness. A case has been filed at Bhada police station for further inquiry.
