Heist Unmasked: Former Employee Among Arrested in Odisha Bank Robbery

In a significant development, two individuals have been apprehended for their alleged participation in an armed robbery at a small finance bank in Odisha's Bhadrak district, say the police. Among those arrested is Pralhad Raut, a former employee of the bank, highlighting a possible insider involvement.
The daring heist took place on June 11, when four masked men stormed the bank, making away with Rs 7.54 lakh at gunpoint. The incident prompted bank officials to file a complaint at the Tihidi Police Station, which jump-started the investigation.
During the probe, authorities recovered Rs 2,000 in cash, multiple mobile phones, and a vehicle suspected to have been used in the crime. Police are still on the lookout for two accomplices, with significant leads already gathered, according to Arup Abhishek Behera, the Additional Superintendent of Police in Bhadrak.
