In Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh, a tragic car accident led to the loss of two lives and left three others injured. According to police reports, the mishap occurred when the victims' car, traveling to Bhuteshwarnath Temple, fell off a bridge and plunged into a local rivulet.

The vehicle slipped off the roadway after a tyre burst, causing it to descend 25 feet into the Sargi rivulet under Fingeshwar police limits. The victims, residents of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, were on a pilgrimage during the auspicious month of Sawan when the accident took place.

Prompt action from locals and police led to the retrieval of the victims from the scene, while a crane was employed to extract the vehicle. Tragically, two passengers, Lokesh Sahu and Pankaj Das, were declared dead on-site, while three injured were taken to a local hospital and will receive further treatment in Raipur.
