Six cybercriminals, five of whom are teenagers, were apprehended in a major bust in Jharkhand's East Singhbhum district. The group was caught while attempting to execute online fraud, as revealed by local law enforcement on Monday.

The arrests occurred during a coordinated raid by a police team, led by DSP (Musabani) Sandip Bhagat, at the Kharaighutu forest. The operation was based on intelligence inputs from SSP Piyush Pandey. Police reports indicate the cybercriminals had been deceiving victims nationwide using platforms like Telegram and WhatsApp, promising false online tasks such as Google reviews and game ratings.

Authorities recovered nine mobile phones and identified multiple bank account and UPI connections linked to the fraud. In a related case, police also detained three more cybercriminals at the Rakhamines railway station, prompted by persistent public complaints about their activities.
