Over 400,000 individuals have engaged with West Bengal's 'Amader Para Amader Samadhan' (APAS) initiative, according to Chief Secretary Manoj Pant. This flagship program has spearheaded a grassroots outreach effort since its launch on August 1.
Announced by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on July 22, the Rs 8,000-crore effort addresses local issues such as street lamps, road repairs, and water supply across districts. The initiative allows citizens to voice concerns and participate in resolving infrastructure challenges, Pant reported.
The APAS initiative encourages residents to deliberate and prioritize their infrastructure needs through 27,000-plus camps. With a significant budgetary allocation, this program is set to cover over 80,000 polling booths, actively engaging the community in shaping their local environment.
