Tensions flared in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh, after a man was allegedly assaulted by Bajrang Dal members and locals over suspicions of carrying prohibited meat. The incident occurred in the temple town of Soron, sparking a viral video and regional unrest.
Identified as Hasnain, a resident of Chamunda Gate, the victim was reportedly carrying five kilograms of white meat when apprehended by locals. The police took him into custody, and samples of the confiscated meat were sent for forensic examination.
A formal complaint was filed by the victim's brother, Tanveer, implicating known and unidentified individuals. An FIR was registered, and the case is actively under investigation as authorities seek to validate the allegations.
