Controversial Parole: Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's 40-Day Release

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the imprisoned leader of the Dera Sacha Sauda sect, has been granted a 40-day parole, allowing him to reside at the sect's headquarters in Sirsa. Singh, who is serving a 20-year sentence for raping two followers, previously received a 21-day furlough in April.
