Three security personnel were injured in a recent firefight on Thursday as an anti-terror operation, now in its seventh day, continues in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, marking the longest operation this year, according to officials.

Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army's Northern Commander, assessed the security situation and counter-terrorism strategies in South Kashmir, receiving updates on the ongoing actions.

The operation, which began last Friday following intelligence on terrorist presence, has so far resulted in the death of two terrorists as security forces employ drones and helicopters in the challenging forest terrain.
