As operations to rescue those affected by flash floods in Uttarkashi entered their third day, the Indian Army announced that 70 individuals have been saved, while over 50 remain missing.
According to officials, the disaster has claimed at least four lives. Rescue teams have recovered two bodies, but it is unclear if they are additional victims.
Rescuers are working tirelessly, deploying advanced equipment to the severely hit Dharali village, and restoring connectivity in the ecologically fragile region.
