Diplomatic Conversations: Lavrov and Fidan Discuss Ukraine Conflict

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov recently engaged in a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan to discuss the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, according to Russia's Foreign Ministry. Although specifics of the dialogue were not disclosed, both diplomats concurred on the importance of keeping open lines of communication.

Turkey continues to play a pivotal role as a neutral ground for Russia-Ukraine negotiations. Earlier this year, in July, Istanbul served as the venue for the latest round of talks aimed at resolving tensions between the two nations.
