Two jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured in an IED explosion in Chaibasa, in Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district, during a security operation. The incident, unfolding in the dense Saranda forest, occurred around noon as CRPF's specialized CoBRA battalion members conducted a search operation.

Following the blast, both injured personnel were promptly airlifted for advanced medical treatment in Ranchi, ensuring they receive the necessary care. The CRPF continues its clampdown in the Saranda forest, known as a bastion for the CPI (Maoist) militants, as they press on with their mission to secure the area.

Officials report that three notorious Maoist leaders, Misir Besra, Patiram Manjhi, and Asim Mandal, each with a significant bounty of Rs 1 crore, are believed to be active in the region, making the operation critical for law enforcement agencies.
