Authorities in Dharmavaram have detained Sheik Kothwal Noor Mohammad, a 42-year-old chef, due to suspected connections with terrorist organizations based in Pakistan. Police confirmed suspicions arose after monitoring Mohammad's behavior, linking him to banned groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammad.

Despite consuming radical content, Mohammad has not perpetrated any acts of terrorism, according to Dharmavaram's in-charge sub-divisional police officer U Narsingappa. Authorities suggest that while Mohammad may have been influenced by extremist ideology, his training didn't extend to actual execution of plans.

Mohammad, who is Indian by birth and ancestry, faces further police interrogation to ascertain his intentions. Investigators have confiscated radical literature from his possession, giving rise to continued inquiry into his activities and affiliations.
