Dramatic Escape Attempt Ends in Leg Injury for Murder Suspect in Patna

Anshu Kumar, a suspect in the murder of businessman Ramkant Yadav, was shot in the leg while trying to escape police custody in Patna. The incident occurred as police attempted to recover the murder weapon.

Originally arrested in Lucknow, Kumar was brought to Patna, where he attempted to flee in the Dhana Nisarpura locality. Police resorted to controlled firing, which led to his injury.

Following the shooting, Kumar was hospitalized, and police confirmed that the murder weapon was retrieved. He faces additional charges as he is wanted in other criminal cases. Two arrests and a detainment have been made in connection with Yadav's murder.
