The Centre's ambitious Mission Karmayogi, targeting capacity building for civil servants, was guided personally by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Former Capacity Building Commission (CBC) chief, Adil Zainulbhai, highlighted the PM's active involvement, even joking about a training plan for himself.
Zainulbhai, appointed in 2021, recently concluded his tenure, emphasizing the program's progress and future aspirations. Under Mission Karmayogi, civil servants receive role-based training to break departmental silos and foster collaboration towards national goals.
With over 3,200 courses and 1.25 crore employees on the digital platform, the mission plans to integrate training into government schemes. By year-end, 20 lakh civil servants will have undergone 'seva bhav' training, extending to states and local bodies for comprehensive development.
