Tragedy on Highway: Teen Found Dead Near Balotra

A tragic turn of events unfolded in Barmer district when Soraki Devasi, a 17-year-old girl missing for two days, was discovered dead along the Balotra-Sanchore mega highway. Her demise sparked protests from locals, who blocked the road for several hours.

The disturbing discovery saw Soraki's body in a decomposed state near Asada, as reported by local police in-charge Chand Singh. On August 15, a vehicle reportedly struck the teen, catapulting her into nearby bushes, where she tragically went unnoticed.

MLA Arun Chaudhary's timely intervention helped pacify the protesting crowd. He assured Soraki's family that appropriate action would be taken following the incident, easing tensions in the area.
