In his first major press briefing since assuming the role of Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar firmly addressed allegations of 'vote theft' made by Rahul Gandhi and other opposition leaders. Kumar invoked constitutional provisions and electoral laws to counter these claims, reiterating the Election Commission's role as a neutral entity.

During the 85-minute conference, Kumar delivered several noteworthy remarks. He asserted the commission's unwavering support for voters, dismissed repetitive falsehoods as truth, and stressed that the EC does not favor or discriminate against any political party. He further emphasized the commission's commitment to its constitutional responsibilities without bias.
