In a significant breakthrough, police have arrested four individuals alleged to have facilitated a daring heist in Jabalpur, involving gold and cash worth Rs 14 crore. The suspects, comprising three locals and a Damoh district resident, reportedly aided a Jharkhand-based gang in executing the robbery and escaping with the loot.

Additional Superintendent of Police Suryakant Sharma revealed that the audacious crime was masterminded within a Raigarh jail, where the arrested individuals conspired with gang members. On August 11, the gang struck the ESAF Small Finance Bank's branch, seizing 15 kg of gold and Rs 5 lakh in cash within a swift 20 minutes.

Following the meticulously planned robbery, the gang fled on motorcycles financed by an accomplice. They stayed in a rented house before striking. The operation ended with the gang reaching Damoh, where travel arrangements were made for their return to Jharkhand. Police continue their investigation, having recovered key evidence, including motorcycles and mobile phones.
