The murder of a 19-year-old playschool teacher, Manisha, in Haryana's Bhiwani district has sparked significant political and public outrage. Opposition parties have accused the BJP-led state government of failing to maintain law and order, describing the incident as a heinous crime.

Manisha was found dead with her throat slit on August 13, just days after she went missing following a visit to a nearby nursing college on August 11. Her family has criticized the police for delaying the registration of their complaint and has refused to cremate her until the murderer is arrested.

Political leaders, including Congress general secretary Kumari Selja and INLD president Abhay Singh Chautala, have condemned the government's handling of the case and questioned the safety of women in Haryana. Six police teams have been formed to investigate, but the community continues to demand immediate action.
