The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) has taken a closer look at the implementation of constitutional safeguards for Scheduled Castes in Rajasthan, as per an official statement. The commission issued directives during a meeting held on Tuesday.
Chaired by NCSC Chairperson Kishor Makwana and member Vaddepalli Ramchander, the meeting featured a detailed presentation by Department of Personnel Secretary K K Pathak. Pathak reported on the backlog of vacancies for Scheduled Caste employees across several departments in recent years and outlined efforts to fill these posts soon.
The meeting also addressed issues like promotions, roster implementation, and various service matters impacting SC employees. High-ranking officials from diverse departments, including planning, finance, and education, attended the session alongside Additional Chief Secretary (Social Justice) Aparna Arora.
